The alternative rock band, Alex & The Fat Penguins, release, from isolation, their first album in their 4-year career, Cardiosonic.
It can be listened to on all streaming platforms here.

The album has 11 tracks, composed over a year and a few months. Each piece has a special line of inspiration, either a real story or an imaginary one from the lives of the band members.
Cardiosonic is a selection from a total of 20 songs, in the end it was preserved what is more representative for the current sound and spirit of the band.
“We dug deep into our hearts, and what we found there we quantified through and in music. For each song, the heart rate was the one after which we chose our bpm, sometimes calm, sometimes normal, but most of the time “pressed” – just like the groove of the heart Alex & The Fat Penguins “- Alex Coțofan
The recordings of the songs were quite complex, with Alex living in France; the guide of the songs was recorded in the studio in Provence, and later the rest of the band entered the studio of George Nemeznic who also signed the production of the album.
Cardiosonic is a roller coaster of the emotional body, from the fear of the unknown, to the clenching of teeth during the fall and the smile of the moment when we know that everything will be fine. Some pieces have a dramatic load (Bear, Wine, Quantum Physics), others are a portal to meditation and relaxation (Somebody, Rain), and some of them, a hand outstretched to joy (Pararam).
Many of these songs are accompanied by videos that can be watched here.
Alex & The Fat Penguins is an alternative rock band founded in 2016.
Their music speaks of the small and big revolutions that take place in the street or in our hearts. Alex’s inspiration has its source in a wide range of emotions and thoughts: it can be an intimate experience such as the loss of a loved one, a fragment of personal history such as the losses suffered by his family during the Soviet occupation, the positive prospect of spiritual rebirth or contemporary social problems that affect us all (injustice, corruption, war or the danger of destroying the environment). In 2017, during the protests for the laws of justice, Alex & The Fat Penguins sang live, in front of the Romanian Government building, the song “Just A Fool”, the anti-corruption song that enjoyed numerous appreciations from the public.
