There are many questions regarding live concerts and when they will be back. Many countries have approved drive-in concerts, but something strange is going on in Romania.

Yesterday, the Government of Romania banned all drive-in events, a law that was criticised by the event organizers, because the system works well in a lot of countries, including Czech Republic or Denmark.
Today, the Romanian publication Digi24 released an article (available here) about the plans of the Government after 14th of June. (All events are banned in Romania until 14th of June.)
It is said that open-air concerts with less than 400 people can be organized after 15th of June, but all events with more than 1000 people could be banned until September 2020.
Regarding these decisions, there are two big questions: “Why are the drive-in concerts banned in these conditions?” and “Is it safe to go to concerts in June in a country that has more that 1100 deaths and 6000 active coronavirus cases right now?”
I understand the fact that from an economic point of view, there are hard times for event organizers, but people’ health is more impotant right now. In addition, according to multiple sources, there won’t be world tours until 2021, so why would we rush this decision? We are still waiting for the official statement and we will keep you updated with the information we receive.
