Yesterday, the first social distancing concerts took place in Romania, in Timişoara and Cluj… but there are still no concerts announced in Bucharest yet. (We do not consider the drive-in concerts here.)
This only happens because of the bad communication. On 8th of May, the mayor of Bucharest, Gabriela Firea, said in a interview for ProTV that all public events will be banned in Bucharest in 2020.
We tried to find out more about this subject, so we’ve sent an e-mail requesting more information from the city council.
Last week, we received an answer from the vice-mayor Aurelian Bădulescu. The document mentions that all the public events will be organised according to the Law No. 55/2020. This means that open-air concerts with less than 500 people can be organised in Bucharest (with social distancing rules).

This attitude from the City Council is really dangerous for many bands and artists and we firmly condamn the action of spreading fake news by public figures AND media. The statements should be clear for the event organizers in these hard times!
We can’t wait to see you again as soon as possible at concerts!
