The internationally known heavy metal band Scarlet Aura released their fifth album, “Stormbreaker”, on April 4th. You can already tell how crushing the front lady’s voice is…

Continuing “The Book of Scarlet” Trilogy, the album was recorded in Bucharest at Silver City Studio, the band’s own record label, being mixed, engineered and written by Mihai Danciulescu (founder, lead guitar, vocals). Scarlet Aura were supposed to kick off a tour in Europe in Spring 2020, but unfortunately it had to be postponed.

“The World Is Not Enough” is a promising and mysterious beginning, keeping the listener in suspense. You can already see how Scarlet Aura break through the storm, as their album says. “Metal Hell” is a very powerful song. Mihai’s guitar sounds amazing, offering the track very nice interludes. Nevertheless, Aura’s voice makes every song special due to her unique style.

“Stormbreaker” is a song with a captivating guitar solo. Overall, it shows among the lyrics the struggle which was within each and every one of us at some point in our lives. The front lady gives the song a gentle touch, despite it being very imposing. And as if Aura Danciulescu’s voice couldn’t get more powerful, there comes “Daddy’s Lil Monster’ with Scarlet Aura’s front lady making her own backing vocals. The laugh at the end wraps it up amazingly.

A highlight from “Stormbreaker” is none other than the tenth track. The title, “A Blast from the Past”, makes its presence felt straight fron the beginning, when a pickup blasts classical music, making it the perfect intro.

“Scarlets United”, the final track, sends a powerful message for everyone out there, no matter when. We will let the lyrics speak for themselves: “And you are all invited/ To give back to the world / The power of Love!”; “We can make the world a better place, / Stop fighting life is not a race!”.
