The quarantine was a really hard period for bands and artist. We talked to some bands from all over the world to see the real effects of the COVID-19 Pandemic in music.
Today, we talk to Søndag, an amazing band from Piacenza, Italy!
How can you describe the changes generated by the pandemic in the band’s activity?
First of all, hello everyone and thank you very much for the time you’re giving us!
The most difficult thing regarding the relationship between the band and the pandemic, was certainly the impossibility at first of being able to even just rehearse.
In addiction to this, the total lack of live shows almost anywhere.
The mood right now is not the best when it comes to music, but we try not to think too much about it and keep moving forward!
What daily activity did you miss the most during quarantine?
As we said, reharsing together was certainly the most important thing that we missed during the past months.
But also the everyday things like going out with your band mates for a beer while you discuss about music and stuff.. sad times!
Were there any pluses for this period without concerts?
Well, for sure we had a lot of time for writing down new stuff in our homes!
As well as time for edit videos and put new ideas on the table, even if the mood wasn’t exactly stimulating.
How does it feel to return to some normalcy?
Think it’s really too soon to talk about “normal”… every single thing in our life has changed for good even if we are talking of small things.
Anyways, right now it seems that things are being held under control, and that feels really good.
What plans have you got for the rest of 2020?
We’ll keep on releasing single tracks, new videos and new contents on our social channels.
Do you have any message for the bands or artists who are still in lockdown/quarantine?
Hold on mates, we will all come back to share stages and have some good time soon!
What message do you have for the people who are going to read this interview?
Guys, we are really looking to know your opinion about our last single “Titans”.
