Future Release: Opium Ink – “Can’t Breathe”

OPIUM INK is an alternative rock band from New York City consisting of lead vocalist/bassist Sarah Orloff & drummer Wilma Kaddissi along with guest guitarists. They mix rock and electronic elements to create a unique sound of their own full of grit and glam.

To close out 2020, Opium Ink will release on 24th of November a new single produced by Lee Groves called “Can’t Breathe” documenting their quarantine chronicles. The promo video can be found below!

Their cover of Send Me An Angel produced by Pitch Black was released on September 16, 2020. It’s a song the band has always loved. Their other most recent releases include Pretty Sick, the band’s second EP, released March 4, 2020 and their single Gasoline, released February 4, 2020. On May 1, 2019 their single Keep You Alive was released & their hauntingly beautiful single Wait For You produced by Pitch Black was released January 9, 2019.

On all of their releases other than Wait For You & Send Me An Angel the girls worked with British producer Lee Groves (projects include Janet Jackson, Radiohead, Marilyn Manson, Depeche Mode and Gwen Stefani to name a few, working alongside producer Mark “Spike” Stent in London). Their first single Porcelain Doll (Lee Groves Remix) was released August 31, 2017. Their self titled Debut EP was released February 21, 2018 and their second single Lucky 13 was released July 31, 2018. All singles and albums are available on iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify & all major music streaming services.

Significant milestones to date include their first music video Porcelain Doll directed by Sophy Holland and filmed at the legendary Pier 59 Studios in NYC, released April 2, 2018. The band has been playing live shows throughout NYC to large crowds and in July 2019 they were the support band for Wolves At The Gate in Brooklyn. Collectively they have previously shared the stage with the Misfits, Everclear, Brand New as well as many others. Wilma played drums for the music video of the single Late by the band Altitudes and Attitude which is the side project of Frank Bello of Anthrax & Dave Ellefson of Megadeth. The video was released January 14, 2019.
