The quarantine was a really hard period for bands and artist. We talked to some bands from all over the world to see the real effects of the COVID-19 Pandemic in music.

Today we talk to Tarah Who?, an amazing Rock Duo from Los Angeles, California.

How can you describe the changes generated by the pandemic in the band’s activity?

CH (Coralie Herve): We actually did a lot during the pandemic. We recorded a new Album and started making new music videos.

TGC (Tarah G. Carpenter): Coralie and I used to see each other every other day for hours of rehearsal and every day just to hang out since we are neighbors. When the lockdown hit, we were just on the phone the whole time working on this new Album. Zoom calls, sending each other tracks, rehearsing on our own, etc… Then we met at the studio with Jason Orme, our producer to record and play the songs together for the first time!

What daily activity did you miss the most during quarantine?

TGC: Rehearsing, and martial arts.

Were there any pluses for this period without concerts?

CH : Not really, it’s really hard to not play shows or go see some.

TGC: We had to cancel our tour which was a bummer, the only plus I have experienced was to be able to redo our website, work on our social media and web presence. Catch up on promo stuff. etc…All of the non-musician things we have to do in order to get somewhere outside of just playing…

How does it feel to return to some normalcy?

CH : Well it feels good even if it’s not done yet hahaha.

TGC: Yeah it is good, but we are still not able to play shows so we are focusing on music videos and other fun things.

What plans have you got for the rest of 2021?

CH : A lot of new music and videos, really excited about it !!!

TGC: Yeah we are going to try to release a song from our new album every month along with a music video. We actually just finished shooting one for the March release! As soon as we can play, we will start playing live shows again. Until then, we are going to write, release, shoot music videos!

Do you have any message for the bands or artists who are still in lockdown/quarantine?

CH : Continue making music and have fun !!

TGC: Now is the time to use your creativity. DO IT! Have fun!
