“I’m the man to fill empty spaces. Those closed spaces, forcibly liberated and lost in context. Visible gaps in the urban landscape. Places that strongly influence through absence. Left unmaintained yesterday or long ago and which outline the image of a city out of control.

The spaces between everything and nothing. Goals that you always knew were full, that fueled the surrounding life and had their place in the economic circuit. Marks of prosperity transformed into the landmarks of degradation of everything around you. Always open places that opened other places. Which held people back and always brought people back.

Abandoned and left-loose spaces. I don’t see, I don’t feel, I don’t think, anything. Windows, thoughts, living in boxes. I’m the man to fill empty spaces.”

“Spații Goale ” (Naked Spaces), the new BlueVelvet single, talks about apathy, resignation, emptyness. “We wanted to explore the idea and the feeling of loss, of rebellion and, finally, of resignation. And when we talk about loss, we mean dissociation from one’s own person to complete depersonalization. You end up being another number in the matrix, another brick in the wall. You’re trying to turn, but it’s too late. The only way out is to occupy the empty spaces, be they physical or imaginary. It’s the only thing that matters.”

The single is now available on all streaming services!
