CRS All-Stars have released a Metal version of The Beatles’ famous song “A Hard Day’s Night.” The reinterpretation comes with a video that can be viewed on YouTube.

Who are CRS All-Stars?

CRS All-Stars was founded at the initiative of producer Nimrod Szedlacsek, one of the owners of the Corvin Recording Studio in Cluj-Napoca, guitarist and founding member of the band Altar. Bands that have crossed the studio’s threshold include FronT, Zarcov, The Six Martini, Desperado, Funk’e Fetish, Sky Swallows Challenger, as well as established names such as jazz singer Teodora Enache, Jared Falk from Drumeo and vocalist Răzvan Pașca.

For CRS All-Stars, Corvin Recording Studio collaborated with well-known names from Cluj music and beyond! Thus, the project consists of the four vocalists:

Răzvan Usineviciu, a former then-vocalist of the Times of Need, has a personal project called Răzvan’s Sessions with which he performs in a hard rock version such as “I Don’t Wanna Stop” from Ozzy Osbourne, “Sharp Dressed Man” from ZZ Top or “The Bible or the Gun” from Blues Saraceno.

Octa Băieș is the lead singer of Hazard band from Cluj-Napoca, where he has been active since the band’s inception for more than 20 years. Approaching over time so many of their most diverse compositions and covers, Hazard is a staple of local event bands. Octavian has also collaborated with names such as C.A.S.H., Camelot, Hangover and other music projects.

Mano Botond Ráduly, semi-finalist of The Voice of Romania in 2017. Mano showed some unique moments in the competition, choosing to perform energetic tracks like Halestorm’s “I Am The Fire” as well as rock songs like “House Of The Rising Sun” from The Animals and Freddie Mercury’s “In My Defence.”

Dudu Isabel, a character who no longer needs presentation on the Cluj music scene. Dudu also participated in the shows ”The Voice of Romania” and ”Romania’s Got Talent” in 2013 and 2018 respectively where he performed songs such as “Jump” from Van Halen and “Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This)” in the version of Marilyn Manson. Dudu Isabel again played Marilyn Manson as part of the Marilyn Manson Superstar project, worked in a Ronnie James Dio tribute project called HUNGRY FOR HEAVEN and in the famous Peak Floyd project which is a tribute to the legendary English band Pink Floyd. However, Dudu Isabel’s soul project remains Seven band in Cluj-Napoca.

CRS All-Stars also features heavy-achieving instrumentalists under the belt, with the project’s initiator, Nimrod Szedlacsek, on guitar. A founding member of the Band Altar, Nimrod worked in the band from 1991 to 1999 as a guitarist. Nimrod was also active in Shekinah, 4motion, Nimrod’s Weapon, and Masterpiece. In 2014, Nimrod founded Corvin Recording Studio where he is a music producer and sound engineer.

Thus, on bass we have Lorand “Lori” Czibere, bassist of grunge and alternative metal Riot Monk in which he is a member since 2015 and with whom he has two EPs, “EP1” and “430294” and an LP, “AER”, released. Together with Riot Monk, Lori shared the stage with the Americans from Black Stone Cherry and Crazy Town, as well as with romanian bands of notoriety Phoenix Transsylvania, Vine or Dirty Shirt. With Riot Monk, Lori released songs such as the famous ”Be Pălincă”, ”Orișicui” or ”Contează”.

Behind the drums is Julia Kocsis, one of the most famous female drummers in the country. Julia was a member of numerous bands where she kept up and with whom she ended up performing throughout the country, bands such as Blood Print, Band For Rent, FronT, The Different Class and Relative. In addition to Rock and Metal, Julia was also part of the 100 For Romania project, where she beat with names such as Adrian Despot, Cornel Ilie, Calin Goia, Flavius Buzilă, Mircea Baniciu, Cristi Minculescu, Florin Grigoraş, as well as Dan Bittman and Roman Iagupov (Zdob si Zdub). Julia was also part of the 2019 Queen Classics by Vlad Maistorovici event where she performed famous songs from Queen’s repertoire as soloist of the string orchestra of the Paul Constantinescu – Ploiești Philharmonic at the percussion/drums section.

The cover clip “A Hard Day’s Night” was made with the support of Mozaik Brother & Roland and was filmed in The Pikowatt – Sound & Light halls by Bernard Naghi.
