As in the previous video “Demise” released late last year, the four very young members of the band continue to transmit through their music a manifesto against human degradation.

The band’s second own composition, “Breakpoint”, continues the message from “Demise” but on a more intimate level. It’s a song about depression, the result of the effects that our dysfunctional society has on each individual, but especially on young people. A society full of corruption, preconceptions and annihilating patterns that strangle humanenness out of people, in which the power of money destroys creativity, intelligence, talent and your own desires, a society in which you can have everything or nothing.

Everything around ends up putting enormous pressure on the way young people think, on the way they act and make decisions for their own future. The influence of “that’s the way it should be” ends up controlling people’s minds, and they gradually get to not recognize their identity, falling into the clutches of depression.

“Breakpoint” is the moment when everything becomes irreversible, from which you can’t return. The glass full of inner struggle suppresses and overflows. You can no longer hide, all reason begins to disappear, and the madness within each of us comes to the surface, uncontrolled and takes over reason. It’s that part of us that we don’t want to recognize, we keep it hidden inside and, in the end, it erupts. It’s a song about the effects of fears, anxieties and prejudices that society puts on the shoulders of young people.

The video was made by director Mihai Grecea (music producer of Rapax, former guitarist of the band Totem from the ’90s) who, together with Sorin Antohi (the other music producer of Rapax, bassist and vocalist of the band Masked Toys), worked in the studio during 2020 with the four components of Rapax to record and mix the first three songs. The mastering of the audio material was done by Costin Dumitrache at constantinemastering.com, the newest and most performing analog mastering studio in Romania.

In November 2020, the band Rapax – Alexandra Hrincescu (16 years old, vocals), Vlad Prisacariu (18 years old, guitar), Tudor Păun (17 years old, bass), Andrei Bostan (15 years old, drums) – released their first single and video, with a strong protest message to the current social system and dehumanization. The song and video “Demise” belonging to the young band members managed to attract the attention of metal lovers and rock specialists from all over the country. The video registered over 13,000 views in the first month since its appearance online.

“Demise” is a protest song about how young people who no longer find themselves in the patterns of society feel, in a sick world, subjugated by hypocrisy, superficiality and the power of money. A society full of constraints and imposed models. The four conveyed through their song a strong message directly related to today’s society. It’s the story of the young who carry this increasingly burdensome load of false “landmarks” delivered by others and which who they don’t want to accept. It’s the story of many of them who decide to “run away” and create their own set of values.

Members of Rapax:
Alexandra Hrincescu, vocals

She started singing this kind of music four years ago, when she was a gymnasium student. She flirted with the guitar and drums, so that now, in the current band, she can be a vocalist. Besides music, the young woman is passionate about English and German and claims that she wants to become a doctor. She is also passionate about cooking.

Vlad Prisacariu, guitar

He fell in love with rock music at the age of ten to the despair of his parents. He eventually received an electric guitar as a gift, which he began to study daily. He is passionate about technology, motorcycles and all kinds of cars.

Tudor Păun, bass

He started playing the guitar abandoned by his older brother and studied music at a rock club. He was “recruited” in the current band directly from a prom at one of the high schools in Bacău. He is passionate about mountain climbing, hiking and history.

Andrei Bostan, drums

Although he is the youngest of the band, he is one of the founding members. He received his first toy drum at the age of four, but for the first time he put the drumsticks on the drums “officially” at the age of six. He is self-taught in music and, besides drums, he also plays the guitar. He is passionate about sampling (technique of digital reproduction of digital sounds).
