The Romanian band Grohot released their first EP, “Creatio ex Nihilo”. The band wanted to incorporate in this work a multitude of myths and symbols from both Romanian folklore and universal culture.

The discographic material has as title a representative song for the aesthetics of the project, “Creatio ex Nihilo”, from Latin “Creation from nothing”. This title is also a reference to the creative process of the material, because the band members started with a very limited amount of equipment in an apartment room.

The EP’s aesthetic is dark, aggressive, with few moments of respite until the resumption of the brute energy. The songs contain tremolo riffs and sequences with thrash metal influences with high BPM, and the vocals remain just as aggressive throughout the material.

The artwork is made by Maria Zaharia, and depicts one of the EP’s characters.

The album will be able to be listened to on all streaming platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes, Deezer, etc.) Bandcamp, and on YouTube it can be found on the Black Metal Promotion II channel.
