We all know how hard it has been for those in the cultural field for the past year and, as it looks, there isn’t a light at the end of the tunnel. Today, Rockstadt Extreme Fest, one of the biggest Romanian Metal Festivals was postponed to 2022 and, unfortunately, it probably won’t be the only festival to be cancelled in Romania.
This means only one thing, the only way to save these festivals is an economic plan from the Romanian Government. Unfortunately, culture has NOT been included in the Romanian Plan of Recovery and Resilience (PNRR) .
AROC (The Romanian Association of Concerts and Cultural Events Organizers) started an open letter today, which will be sent to The President of Romania, Klaus Iohannis. The full letter is available now HERE.
We have already signed the letter and we invite you to do the same if you are part of the cultural field. Sign it if you are an artist, a concert organizer, a freelancer etc.
