The quarantine was a really hard period for bands and artist. We talked to some bands from all over the world to see the real effects of the COVID-19 Pandemic in music.
Today we talk to Jasper from The Last Element, an amazing Core/Nu-Metal band founded in 2017.
How can you describe the changes generated by the pandemic in the band’s activity?
Well no more room for shows… but we shifted gears and fully focused on writing new songs, improving our mix and also getting our “image” better. → New logo, bandmerch etc.
What daily activity did you miss the most during quarantine?
I missed everything…. but going to the gym for kickboxing is what I still miss most, no real time to unwind now.
Were there any pluses for this period without concerts?
Hell no….
How does it feel to hear the idea of returning to some normalcy?
Loving it!! Can’t wait! But really, so ready for just being able to enjoy freedom once again.
What plans have you got for 2021?
We’ve got loads of plans!! The first one is scheduled for the 15th of march, our new single Cut it Off will be released then. Including a cool music video, it’s going to be a blast we promise!!
Furthermore we are working hard on the next single releases, new band pictures, and constantly improving our mix.
Do you have any message for the bands or artists who are still in lockdown/quarantine?
We’ll we’re one of them so… I guess the message would be keep on writing, hold on and soon we will be able to rock together once more!
