As it happens to be one of the rainy days during which I feel like listening to a genre I haven’t heard in a while, stumbling across All Nine Yards’ new song, “Don’t Wake Me Yet” was a pleasant surprise, especially since I am in the mood to write about something that gives me “the feels”. Well, without further ado, allow me to move onto the review.

Coming out on May 14th, it’s the band’s first release in 2021. A song that’s perfectly accurate for the mental state many of us are in, especially since we’re in a global pandemic, it has a powerful instrumental that goes hand in hand with the very expressive vocals.
For me, it felt hit close because I happen to feel an emotional burnout and really, I think that this is mainly what this track is about: constantly being on edge, with a tiring anxiety that makes you wish you don’t wake up for a long time; with so many consuming emotions and different treatments, you end up feeling like nobody truly understands you.
I’ve been listening to it on repeat for a while now and I’d say it is exactly what I needed: a hard rock song by people that I can feel they put in a lot of emotion into their work, with an experience that pays off. To see what I mean, I recommend checking these guys out!
