BLACKSHEEP (death’n roll – Bucharest)

Blacksheep appeared almost out of nowhere in 2014, with a very fresh style, which mixes melodic death metal, rock’n roll and hardcore. After conquering the local scene, performing intensely in all clubs in Bucharest, the band took the stage of major open-air festivals in Romania, twice at Rockstadt Extreme Fest and Metalhead Meeting. They also performed at the opening of the Sodom concert in Brașov. After a self-imposed hiatus caused by permanent changes in composition, Blacksheep returned to the stage at the beginning of 2020, with the canadians from Bloated Pig, to later use the break caused by the pandemic to compose and record a demo material in the new composition, the first lyric video, „Hellsent”, being released today.

MBP

Initially appeared as Mihai Barbu Project at the end of 2017, the band MBP debuted with the album „A Lifetime Consequence”, an ambitious material which contains ten long songs, with a total duration of about 80 minutes, initially digitally released through the official profile of Bandcamp of the band and later in the form of a double self-produced digipack CD, presented in full version both in live appearances, and in several specialized radio shows, but unfortunately insufficiently promoted to reach the collective consciousness of the public. The four musicians, rebranded under the title MBP, recorded the new discographic material at the beginning of 2020, in Studio 148, together with one of the most known and appreciated producers in the local rock/metal area, Marius Costache and the executive producer Mihai ‘Coro’ Caravețeanu (Axa Valaha Productions), the result being three songs, with a total duration of about 20 minutes, released both digitally, and in the form of a homonymous EP digipack, on October 1, 2020. The first single from the album, ‘Silence’, released on May 1, 2020, represents the most successful song of the band’s career, a favorite of underground rock radio stations, being broadcasted frequently or even in heavy rotation by various radio stations in Romania and abroad. In terms of live concerts, the band has performed frequently in the capital, several times with Bucovina in sold-out concerts in the country, and they have also participated in several open-air festivals
