The quarantine was a really hard period for bands and artist. We talked to some bands from all over the world to see the real effects of the COVID-19 Pandemic in music.
Today we talk to Delilah Daybreaks, a Minneapolis-based Heartfelt Punk Rock band.

How can you describe the changes generated by the pandemic in the band’s activity?
I would call the changes awkward because, for a while, it made songwriting a lot harder because we generally like do to that altogether. So we had to figure out how to send riffs to each other over text and writing lyrics over Zoom and stuff like that.
What daily activity did you miss the most during quarantine?
I missed walking into local coffee shops and record stores because that’s honestly one of my favorite things to do and then once everything shut down I kinda just went, “well shit… what do I do now?”
Were there any pluses for this period without concerts?
I guarantee it saved me money… however, it was kinda shitty for my mental health. Concerts are kinda my church and therapy, so not having them was absolute trash.
How does it feel to hear the idea of returning to some normalcy?
Excited but at the same time anxious. I’m not sure how safe it is in America to do that quite yet, because honestly, people were being so shitty and reckless with masks and everything, and now the people who never cared to begin with want to cry over a vaccine… I really don’t get it.
What plans have you got for 2021?
We had a YouTube Livestream on June 5th, and we are going to be recording and putting out new music in a few months.
Do you have any message for the bands or artists who are still in lockdown/quarantine?
Stay strong, keep writing and stay hopeful. Things will get better soon!
What message do you have for the people who are going to read this interview?
Be sure to follow us on social media, and make sure to check out our latest release and let us know what you think.
