The quarantine was a really hard period for bands and artist. We talked to some bands from all over the world to see the real effects of the COVID-19 Pandemic in music.
Today we talk to Kade Storm, an amazing Black Metal artist from Skegness, UK.

How can you describe the changes generated by the pandemic in the band’s activity?
I had some very personal issues that made the pandemic itself a bit of a troubling backdrop to those issues. On the project activity side, there were some initial issues with studio access and equipment, but they were addressed.
What daily activity did you miss the most during quarantine?
It’s difficult to distil it all down to one particular activity, because again, due to the earlier-mentioned personal issues, it makes for a complex self-reflective process.
Were there any pluses for this period without concerts?
While I haven’t considered live work for my own project, I do think that this period had a uniquely challenging impact on the Metal scene, which thrives on live performances. That said, some bands found creative ways to make something of it with concepts like atmospheric live streamed shows from the likes of Behemoth and Mephorash, just to name a few.
How does it feel to hear the idea of returning to some normalcy?
Normalcy is definitely relative, and arguably overrated.
What plans have you got for 2021?
I’m just looking to promote my latest release, Ascension, which is also going to see a physical CD release via Narcoleptica Productions.
Do you have any message for the bands or artists who are still in lockdown/quarantine?
Keep persevering and making great music, not that they aren’t already.
What message do you have for the people who are going to read this interview?
I think, much like other bands and artists, the fans and people who are into all things heavy rock and beyond, know that they’ll continue supporting the music, regardless of circumstances. Also, if they’re into heavy and atmospheric music, they can give Ascension a listen. All relevant links have been provided below. Thanks.
