We’ve got some great news for metal fans all over, for 2021 has gifted us another unique metal project, in the form of East Flanders thrash metal band Primal Creation’s second album “News Feed”.

Released on April 16’th, the band’s album continues to build on their style, delivering quite an impressive industrial thrash metal project. Fueled by recent global turmoil, the band just ached for an opportunity to break their silence.

First and foremost, the album opens up with some recorded news extracts about the state of society, presumably to set up the themes of the songs.
As soon as the first song is played, you can really see the aggression and anger that fuels their artistic spirit. The use of high piched electric guitars complemented by some mysterious and sublte bass really encompasses the audience to believe their message. What they can manage really well is the ability to modernise classic thrash metal tropes both in the subject matter and the instrumentation techinques . It sure is a more fresh approach on the genre but it doesn’t try to change that much the formulas that worked so well for others. The vocals are really versatile and surprisingly clear, in the midst of all the chaos . Throught the album the riffs and style remains similar, taking some inspiration from other modern thrash projects. One of the main subjects that they try to touch is how the dangers of modern times will shape the human race.

All in all we can treat “News Feed” as a easy listen for the majority of heavy metal fans, seeing as it is a solid album that wants to change our perspective on technology and at the se time to entertain us while doing so.
