Flaming Skies have released their debut album Empire of Glass, the result of two years of hard work during which they bonded as a band and chiseled their style. They started working on their album in the winter of 2019 and finished in the summer of 2021, a hard period of time, marked by the pandemic. They managed to move past the restrictions of rehearsing and the constraints and restrictive measures put their mark on their style.
Empire of Glass consists not only of older, songs, already known by their audience, but also of songs which have only been played live or never been heard before. The order of the pieces on the album shows the evolution of each of us, starting from the silence of the shadows, our fight both against our own selves and the corrupt system, feeling chained and on the point of giving up and ending with hope and continuing the fight, becoming our own heroes. The last song on the album, Defy, is a manifest, maybe the most moving message against a deeply corrupt society.
The album is independently released, without the help of any record label. The recordings were made in the Brothers of Rock studio and with the help of Catalin Roman. The mix and master were done by Marius Costache (Studio 148) and the album artwork and all other illustrations were drawn by Alexandra Racoviteanu (Straja).
