Arshenic is a Polish rock/metal band. Arshenic’s music is influenced by trends such as art rock, alternative metal, progressive rock, gothic metal, melodic metal, and dark rock. The band’s name alludes to arsenic, which is both a poison and a cure. That duality is easily discernible in the group’s songs.
The band’s calling card is a strong female charismatic image, and the sound is primarily defined by various types of female vocals, both singing and screaming, clean and distorted guitars, diverse bass parts and dynamic drum playing, with a hint of electronics, cellos, and orchestral sounds in the background.

It’s in my blood you’re in my blood so deep I can not reach I cant reach and now you’re drowning is it a murder? relentless murder as I watch you die in me

BRIEF HISTORY:
The vocalist Ofilia founded the band in Poland in 2007. Arshenic recorded material for their first EP the same year. Following that, the band performed numerous concerts and went on tour throughout Poland as a support act for the country’s leading goth rock bands, while also recording their first promotional album.
After a three-year hiatus and line-up changes, Arshenic began working on new material in 2015, which culminated in the EP ”Erased” in 2016, as well as the single and music video for the track “Monster”. ”Unspoken”, a music video that tells a twisted story about spirituality, was released in 2018.

“you might say it’s evil behind my eyes and all there is to see” / “nobody cares less/ nobody cares/ I’m the black goat that doesn’t fit the herd”
“GOAT” is a progressive ballad released in 2021 with growls and gutteral vocals that run through the verses and brutal chorus. It freshenes up the mood by expressing rage, plus a high sense of inexistent belongingness. In spite of the quite simple and usual choice of words, the verses still have a huge impact on the listener.
Thus, “GOAT” becomes a social paria anthem for everyone who feels like they’re the scapegoat in their community.
