“How does it feel to be back?” I asked Blagoslav Anastasov right after the concert. “Like we never left”… and this is how this concert felt like.

After the show they’ve put at Summer Well, I knew that it was going to be a great evening… I got my concert bracelet from Control Club’s entrance, pushed the door and entered Berlin Hall.

I looked to the stage and saw Hayes&Y written with gold letters on the blue wall as the band was nearly ready to jump onto the stage.

It only took few minutes until the boys dashed out from the backstage door. The crowd cheered loudly when Blagoslav shouted “Unu, doi, trei” (“One, two, three” in Romanian), same as he did on the Summer Well main stage. As if we needed another clue to know that these guys really love Romania, Dennis Hällback, the drummer of the band, was wearing a no. 10 Romania T-Shirt, a small detail that made the crowd even more hyped that they were.

For the next two hours, it was summer again as everyone was dancing and cheering on the most popular and their latest songs from the debut album “Press. Go. Move. Slow.”. “Over” and “Epiphany” were the songs on which the crowd couldn’t resist and sang along with them for their entire duration.

A special moment was at the end of “Make No Sound”, when Blagoslav climbed on a metal fence to sing the final lyrics of the song as the band and the crowd went completely silent and listened to his voice.

The only downside of the concert? It was too short! I would have done an all-nighter there to listen to them.

I’ve said it in the Summer Well review and I am going to say it again: keep an eye on this very energetic and charismatic band, they’re going to be huge in just few years from now on. I really hope that they’ll come to Romania every three months though…
