In 2019 I discovered Rockabella through their album “Clarobscur”, which is still one of my favourite alternative albums.

In 2020 the band released “Arată-te”, which added something new and powerful to their repertory. It was a song that felt like a huge breath of fresh air considering how tough that year was. I still remember Teodora Moroşanu’s live stream on Facebook at the beginning of the lockdown, when I hoped that they’d continue to write songs like this and this is what they’ve done.

In November 2022, Rockabella released “INvulnerabili”, an album in which every song gives a different vibe and has a different style, but same message: humans are vulnerable and we should appreciate these moments.

The album contains already released songs as “Arată-te”, “Năluca”, “Iată-ne aici” or “Corp Străin”, but also 6 new ones. If I would have to pick my favourites out of the new ones (and if I would not be allowed to pick all of them…), I would go with “Invulnerabili” for the amazing powerful lyrics and that can lift your mood up at any time, but also “Cutremur” and “Hai să ne complicăm puţin!” for those powerful riffs that make you buy a guitar and try to learn them.

And, because I just talked about the riffs, there is one more subject that needs to be talked about: the unique sound. They can make every insturment sound sublime and in a special manner, a thing that I’ve not heard a lot in Romanian music industry.

“INvulnerabili” is a masterpiece and I would say that it could be one of the best, if not the best album that was released in 2022.

The full album is now available on all streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube Music.

If you want to buy the album and listen to it live, the release is on December 9 in Control Club, give yourself a Christmas gift with an amazing night.
