EEnlarge Europe presents SUBSTRAT Zagreb – the first regional conference of grassroots music venues!

SUBSTRAT is a travelling international grassroot venue festival and conference, established by the EEnlarge Europe hub in 2022. This yearly event provides a gathering point for the representatives of the grassroot sector and puts their issues and needs into focus, by providing a platform for discussing and addressing relevant topics, both on and off the podium. 

In 2023, SUBSTRAT will take place between 8th and 10th March in Zagreb, Croatia on the premises of the legendary Močvara venue.

The daytime conference programme is complemented by concerts of both local and regional emerging artists in the evening. Each year, SUBSTRAT will travel to a different city and provide a unique platform for an in-depth dive into the local grassroot scene of the host country.

The first artists to be announced for SUBSTRAT are Croatian acts Čuvarkuća, Revirgin, ROLO and Skotni Vrag, alongside Laplander from Serbia, Spiral Mind from Slovenia and Zimbru from Romania. More artists and the conference program will be announced soon.
