On May 12th, The Mono Jacks will perform for the first time at Sala Palatului in Bucharest, on the occasion of the release of their new album “Norul noua”. Since 2008, The Mono Jacks’ music has been heard on radio stations, in clubs, and at major festivals, speaking about thoughts and feelings that we all experience. The band is now releasing their 4th studio album through a national promotional tour.

The Mono Jacks are a story of perseverance, dedication, and the pursuit of dreams that define you. Songs like “1000 de DA”, “Un sfert de secundă” or “Infinit” quickly entered the consciousness of music lovers and are sung in unison at sold-out concerts from all over the country. The Mono Jacks have worked tirelessly on new music, and their 4th studio album is a collection of songs written in the last 3 years.
“In the period when we couldn’t perform live, going to the rehearsal studio was a form of liberation, our solution to stay close to music, but also the way in which our new album began to take shape. The 3 singles already released – “Aici acum”, “Spune” and “Undeva” – tell the story of our common struggles, searches, and our desire to find meaning in the things we experience.”
The album was recorded at UNDA Recording with producer Dan Georgescu, and mastered by Cristian Varga.
About The Mono Jacks
The band, founded by Doru Trăscău (formerly of ab4) in 2008, released a well-received debut album – Now In Stereo – in 2010. They then went through numerous lineup changes and a two-year hiatus before regrouping in their current formation in 2017. With renewed energy, The Mono Jacks released their highly anticipated second album, Ușor Distorsionat, at the end of the same year, which was a resounding and unexpected success that crowned 9 years of effort, searching and work done out of passion.
With three singles that quickly entered the consciousness of alternative listeners – “Un sfert de secundă,” “Infinit,” and “1000 de DA” – and increasingly sold-out concerts throughout the country, The Mono Jacks simultaneously worked tirelessly on new music. Their third album, Gloria, arrived quickly in early 2020, launched through a sold-out concert at Arenele Romane in Bucharest. Throughout the 11 tracks, The Mono Jacks return to their musical approach at the intersection of indie, alternative, and post-punk, refining their own stylistic imprint together with Romanian lyrics. Their fourth album is now set to be released in the spring of 2023.
The music of The Mono Jacks has been heard at major festivals (Sziget, Exit Festival, Eurosonic Noorderslag, ARTmania, Electric Castle) as well as through tours throughout the country, making thousands of voices sing in unison with their music.
