“Alerg” is the second single from Melting Dice’s upcoming studio album, set to be released in the autumn of 2023. The song explores the relationship between a father and son, the permissions granted within such a relationship, and the fears passed down from generation to generation. It is available for streaming and download on all digital distribution platforms.
“Everything I couldn’t and can’t say to my father, I’ve put into this song. I’ve encrypted the message enough so that he won’t understand it when he attends one of our concerts. Once again, music has helped me express what I needed to say and translate my thoughts into sounds that I can hear from the outside and better control their volume,” says Bogdan Cotirță, the band’s vocalist.
The music and lyrics are written by Bogdan Cotirta Gruicin, mixed and mastered by Dan Georgescu, and recorded at Muzicon.hub studio by Mihai Bele. The musical production is done by Cristi Paroș.
About Melting Dice
Melting Dice’s music can be described as alternative rock, but it’s more than that. Bogdan’s vocal tone and performance might take you into a grunge zone with vibes from the ’90s, while the metal inflections in the guitar riffs sound modern and abrasive, complementing the foundation provided by the enigmatic lyrics.
In 2017, the band released their debut album, “Cord Cablu Creier,” through a national promotional tour. The material consists of ten original compositions by the band, written between 2014 and 2016. Their second studio release, the EP “Mat deschis,” was launched at the end of 2020 and serves as a transitional musical piece between the sound of their first album and the one they are currently working on. It represents the evolution of the band from its initial lineup to its present form, a necessary step in their maturation process.
