Mother’s Cake, the Austrian psych-rock trio, will perform on July 9th at Romexpo as the opening act for Deep Purple’s concert in Romania. With their vintage madness and high-quality sound, Mother’s Cake delivers energetic performances that perfectly suit the current moment. Their songs feature divine harmonies, diabolical riffs, a horizon filled with delay, and a deep, swampy groove that transforms into a sweet folk melody towards the end.

Throughout their career, Mother’s Cake has played hundreds of concerts from Manchester to Melbourne and Mumbai, opening for international artists such as Alice In Chains, Deftones, Royal Blood, Anathema, AC/DC, Limp Bizkit, and Iggy & The Stooges. They have released five studio albums and a nearly megalomaniacal live set, reminiscent of “Live at Pompeii,” recorded on the ski jump at Bergisel, Austria, in 2018.

In 2020, the band released the album “CYBERFUNK!” and sold the first 1000 copies of the vinyl in less than 9 weeks. Mother’s Cake has been featured in Rolling Stone Magazine, Prog Visions, Metal Hammer, Rock Hard, Classic Rock, Guitar, Eclipsed, MINT, Sonic Seducer, and more. “CYBERFUNK!” was voted one of the best albums of 2020 by Eclipsed Magazine.

“Mind-bending, chaotic, and colorful songs that blow your mind” – ROLLING STONE MAGAZINE

Over the years, Mother’s Cake has performed in Bucharest, Cluj, and Timișoara, and on July 9th, they will return to Romania to open for Deep Purple’s concert at Romexpo. Tickets for the concert are available on iabilet.ro.
