Returning to the map of open-air events, Rock la Mureș has demonstrated this year that it still represents an important attraction, both for fans of niche sounds and for the most curious among the locals, people eager to discover new international artists.

Taking place in a relaxed atmosphere and in absolutely inviting weather, the gentle breeze somehow spoke of the fresh air with which Rock la Mureș was going to delight its guests. Periam Port quickly became a charming realm, a place where you could easily get rid of worries, daily stress, and routine. A gateway to a seemingly lost world, but with this edition, it regained its place.

The organizers’ efforts to bring together not only those passionate about a certain genre of music but also the entire local community, were fully rewarded. In practice, the festival area transformed into a place where people of all ages and with clearly different musical passions felt the same way, joyfully sharing the same feeling, the same free spirit.

The bands that took the stage this year were not far from this unified joy, and in addition to the instant connection they created with people, talking and taking pictures with anyone who asked, they managed to deliver some memorable shows.

Attila, one of the most anticipated bands in the line-up, created waves of enthusiasm, their music developing an amazing energy, which led to a very active engagement in front of the stage by everyone present. Unity TX, the band that performed before Attila, was more than a pleasant surprise for everyone at the festival. Their show truly ignited the spirits, just in time for what was to follow.

The legends of Total Chaos, the headliners of the second day of the festival, practically brought punk home. With a show as raw and direct as it was lively and well-delivered, they transported the audience back to the times when punk culture felt like being in the bosom of the family at Periam Port. The fury of the Americans was quickly absorbed by the crowd, which in turn provided the band with fantastic energy.

All in all, Rock la Mureș 2023 was a successful edition, one in which the new and the old school merged in the feelings of people eager to discover new cultural landscapes and enjoy them in complete freedom and without prejudice. It has been proven once again that the spirit that Rock la Mureș has sown over the years has not perished, but only rested, to return even stronger.
