Experiencing the Unbelievable at Summer Well – the event that blends music, art, culture, and entertainment to offer an unparalleled experience. The 12th edition of the festival will take place from August 11th to 13th, 2023, at Domeniul Stirbey in Buftea, which awaits us with a series of surprises including – the lake and estate have undergone a new cleaning process, being taken care of to provide us with a fairytale-like setting, and a new bridge has been constructed over the lake. Besides the fact that participants will find Domeniul Stirbey more beautiful than ever, among the eagerly awaited headliners to perform live there are names like Florence + The Machine, Royksopp, Yungblud, and Saint Levant.

This year, Summer Well surprises us with 4 stages, each with distinct energy. The Hidden Tracks by ING x Visa stage will be dedicated to emerging artists from Romania who have stood out with a unique stage presence and strong personality, namely Rares, Paulina, LVX Machina, Iova, Ana Coman, and + SHE + (Corina Sucarov).

The Wiiings powered by Red Bull stage is meant to impress us again this year with an infectious energy created by the rhythms, lyrics, and rhymes of the rappers we will meet. 070 Shake, Ocean Wisdom, July Jones, Tommy Genesis, and Ayrtn are just some of the names that have us prepared to dance in our sneakers.

The surprise of this edition is the perfect genre combination that will be featured on the Main Stage. This stage is 50% larger than last year and will host a series of superb sounds – from the effervescent indie of Florence + The Machine and the daring punk of Yungblud, to the enchanting R&B of Saint Levant and the electronic rhythms of Royksopp. In addition to them, we will also enjoy live performances from Tom Grennan, SG Lewis, Lime Cordiale, Temples, Yellow Days, Biig Piig, Baby Queen, Cassia, The Aces, and Thus Love.

Of course, after these live concerts, the evening can only conclude with afterparties at the same high level. The stage dedicated to these will surprise us with the live electronic rhythms of Kid Francescoli, Acid Arab, and Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs.

Furthermore, we aim for this edition to be a memorable one. That’s why you’ll find in the following paragraphs some things that would be good to know before arriving at the festival.

ACCESS

Access to the festival will be available from Oltului Street, starting at 2:00 PM (Friday) and 12:00 PM (Saturday and Sunday). The festival gates will close each night at 4:00 AM. We encourage you to arrive as early as possible to avoid crowds, especially on Friday.

Another important aspect is related to accreditations. The accreditation process will be open every day from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. After 8:00 PM, no further accreditations can be processed (press, partners, guest list).

MOBILE APP

Available on both the App Store and Google Play, the Summer Well app contains all the necessary information throughout the festival: daily schedule, map, food & drinks list, entertainment options, and even the access tickets purchased from summerwell.ro. Our advice is to enable the “push notification” option to stay updated with the latest news during the festival.

HOW TO GET TO SUMMER WELL

Domeniul Stirbey is a fairly accessible area, which can be reached through the following methods: bus, train, bicycle, car.

Bus
Tickets can be purchased directly from summerwell.ro or at the bus entrance, with a cost of 22 lei for a one-way trip, and 44 lei for a round-trip. Departures will be from Bucharest, Clabucet station (Piata Chibrit area). The first transport to Domeniul Stirbey will depart at the following times: 1:00 PM (Friday) and 12:00 PM (Saturday and Sunday). Buses will run at intervals of 10 to 20 minutes, ensuring a continuous flow.

Friday:
Program start – 1:00 PM – departure of the first bus from Piata Chibrit.
Program end – 4:00 AM – departure of the last bus from Buftea.

Saturday:
Program start – 12:00 PM – departure of the first bus from Piata Chibrit.
Program end – 4:00 AM – departure of the last bus from Buftea.

Sunday:
Program start – 12:00 PM – departure of the first bus from Piata Chibrit.
Program end – 4:00 AM – departure of the last bus from Buftea.

Boarding/ticket sales points will be:

Bucharest, Clabucet Station (intersection of Blvd. Ion Mihalache with Calea Grivitei)
Buftea – near the boarding station in the vicinity of the festival, specially arranged to be easily visible to participants

Train
Another encouraged transportation method to get to the festival is the train. Departing from Gara de Nord, you can opt for a ticket on the Bucharest – Buftea route. From Buftea station, it’s a 20-minute walk. There are no return trains from Buftea to Bucharest after the concerts. For tickets and travel schedules, visit the website mersultrenurilor.infofer.ro.

Bicycle
We also encourage sports and movement. If you’re among the brave who choose bicycles for transportation, we will provide dedicated bicycle parking at the festival entrance.

Personal Car
There is no dedicated public parking, and we recommend leaving your cars at home to avoid congestion. Check alternative routes: Chitila – Buftea, Corbeanca – Buftea.

These will be available at various locations throughout the festival, marked on the map found in the Summer Well mobile application.

TICKETS

Make Sure You Have Your Ticket Ready

Your ticket can be presented in either electronic or physical format. It’s important for each participant to have their ticket on hand (for example, not just on the companion’s phone).

Bracelet Is the Entry Key

A week before the festival, regular and VIP pass holders can collect their festival bracelet from Orange Shop Victoriei, Orange Shop Orhideea, Orange Shop Baneasa Shopping City, ING Parklake Mall, and ING Promenada Mall. Bracelets can also be ordered through the Tazz app. To facilitate the process, it’s advisable to consult the schedule beforehand and have the ticket downloaded on your phone.

Where to Go and What to Do?

The schedule is divided by days and stages and can be found in the Summer Well mobile app, under the “line-up” section. The mobile app also contains information such as the map, art zones, food and drink options, entertainment choices, and useful information (restrooms, first aid zones, etc.).

Online Top-Up Means More Time for Fun

This year, festival bracelets will have a PIN code on the back. With this code, you can top up your bracelet online. Register at summerwell.ro/topup and add the desired amount of money to your bracelet. Money can be withdrawn online back to the bank account from which the transaction was made starting from August 16, 10:00 AM, until August 20, 11:59 PM. The minimum amount that can be withdrawn online is 20 lei. Amounts below this threshold can only be withdrawn within the festival. The bank fee related to online refunds to bank accounts in countries other than Romania will be covered by the participant, as per the festival’s payment regulations.

• IMPORTANT! Minor participants must carry a copy of their birth certificate or any other form of identification. Minors over 12 years old must also have the signed and completed commitment statement from their parent or legal guardian.
• Festival bracelets cannot be removed during the event; when this happens, access to the festival is restricted.
• Must-haves: identification document, commitment statement (for minors over 12 years old), valid ticket.
• All participants are subject to searches upon entry, without exceptions allowed. Refusal of a body search will result in the participant being denied access to the festival.
• Last but not least, please consult the list of items that cannot be brought to the festival. We strongly believe that Summer Well is an event that encourages responsible fun, thus the consumption of psychoactive substances/narcotics (drugs) is strictly prohibited.

More than just a music festival, Summer Well is an entire experience set to take place from August 11th to 13th, 2023, in a unique venue that has been our home since the beginning – Domeniul Stirbey in Buftea. In 2023, Summer Well will celebrate its 12th year of existence.
