After 20 years, the Timișoara supergroup BLAZZAJ returns with a new album, “Întoarcerea Omului Furnicar” (“The Return of the Ant Man”).
BLAZZAJ, one of the most important names in Timișoara’s niche music scene, is back with a new studio release, a double vinyl album titled “Întoarcerea Omului Furnicar.”

Returning this year, as if after a journey of self-discovery, with a series of concerts at Electric Castle, Gărâna, and Jazzar, the band seems to have kept under wraps, like a well-informed citizen in tough times, the news of a new release, one more anticipated than the bread delivery.
“Întoarcerea Omului Furnicar,” as the band members themselves declare, “draws a different landscape on the staff. It’s about a dream that doesn’t throw you into the abyss, about the city that flows through you, about a world where everything seems to work better, even too well.”
With a musical journey crafted by Eddie Neumann and Florin Barbu around 1998, like attentive urban storytellers to life’s carelessness, BLAZZAJ has managed to permanently reshape the dusty image of urban living over time, turning irreparable boredom into an artistic revelation.
Their compositions, sweetened with sarcasm and subtle humor, naturally evolved alongside the artists’ innovative spirit, with their songs becoming odes painted in shades of Balkan surrealism. In fact, even the story accompanying this new material breathes an air soaked in an almost unnatural freshness. “After an unsuccessful attempt to take over the tenants’ association, the ant man wandered 28 days in supermarkets in search of self-balance. He returned to the building with 14 stories worthy of any storyteller.”
The album “Întoarcerea Omului Furnicar” will be officially released on September 15th during a concert at Control Club in Bucharest. The double vinyl can be purchased at the venue on the day of the event or online, priced at 160 lei.

Tickets for the album release concert at Control Club can be purchased on iaBilet.ro.
