Celtic Transilvania, the coolest and most exclusive festival in Romania, is returning in 2024 with its 8th edition, and it promises to be on a much higher level than the previous editions. Celtic Transilvania Festival is a magical, comprehensive, and complex holiday experience, a dream “all-inclusive” weekend.

As part of this experience, attendees will enjoy a rock/metal concert section with legendary foreign and Romanian bands. Many of the foreign bands will be performing in Romania for the first time. Some of these have already been announced, as seen on the poster (MANEGARM – Sweden, MESSIAH – Switzerland, CRUACHAN – Ireland, VERMILIA – Finland, SELFISH MURPHY – Hungary/Romania, GOTHIC Romania, MILTEH – Spain, UKANOSE – Lithuania, SYMPHRESS – Romania, SUICIDE AND REDEMPTION – Romania, MAAD – Romania).

At the Celtic Transilvania Festival, visitors will also take a journey into the ancient history of Transylvania, alongside some of the best historical reenactment groups from Romania and abroad.

Motorcycle enthusiasts can admire or participate in the motorcycle parade that will traverse the city from end to end.

The 2024 edition promises to be full of excitement as well. Attendees should bring their adrenaline; they can fly in a hot air balloon and even jump from it!

Furthermore, near the festival location, you will find Herghelia Beclean, renowned in Europe for the horses bred there, which can be visited.

Do they love hiking in nature? It’s as simple as can be; the forest surrounds them and awaits their exploration.

They’ve saved the best for last, the cherry on top, the crown jewel: Băile Figa. Here, visitors can relax in pools with fresh or saltwater, hot or cold, according to their preference. They can also indulge in therapeutic mud wraps, saline aerosols, or sunbathing. For added fun and adrenaline, there are several different-sized water slides.

The Celtic Transilvania Festival is the only event of its kind in Romania and even in Eastern Europe, offering so many entertainment options. It’s a “family-friendly” festival; attendees can come with grandparents, kids, dogs, and cats. Children under 12 years old have free access when accompanied by a paying adult. People with disabilities also have free access!
