As organizers of one of the longest-running open-air festivals dedicated to niche music genres, Rock la Mureș, have stated on multiple occasions, the 2024 edition will be a memorable one for the attending audience.
In this regard, the big names from the international music scene that will grace the festival stage in 2024 have already been announced, with the most recent addition to the lineup being none other than the legendary New York punk band, The Casualties.

With a concept restructured on many levels, Rock la Mureș offers a personally unmissable experience. The event will take place over two days, specifically on Friday, July 12, and Saturday, July 13.
So, emerging in the early ’90s from the gritty streets of the Lower East Side neighborhood in New York, The Casualties became an iconic name in the street-punk genre over time.
For three decades, they have continued to release new albums in their well-known style, supporting tours that have circumnavigated the globe, much like Magellan or Columbus, from Guatemala to Estonia, and from Romania to South America and Asia.
“You have to be a good live band to survive,” says Jake Kolatis, the guitarist of the band since 1993. With the release of their first album, “For The Punx,” in 1997, the band’s on-stage energy turned into an increasingly vibrant flame, and their burning passion turned even the simplest listeners into true fanatics, known as The Casualties Army, as the band members like to call their most devoted fans.
In 2018, the band welcomed David Rodriguez as their new frontman. With a new change in energy within the band and an insatiable appetite to perform on stage, The Casualties released “Written In Blood.” An album that was so well-received that the record label couldn’t keep up with demand.
This year, the band is working on a new album, and next year, with its release, they will embark on an extensive promotional tour. In fact, Romania, through the Rock la Mureș festival, is one of the destinations on this tour.
The current lineup also includes, alongside The Casualties from the United States, Doctor Krapula from Colombia, Dropout Kings from the United States, Avoid Humanity from Romania, and June Turns Black, also from Romania.
