On December 21, the alternative rock band EYEDROPS will release the first single from their upcoming album with a vibrant concert at Expirat Halele Carol club in Bucharest. The band will celebrate, alongside the audience, their last concert of the year, taking a step forward towards the music to be released in 2024.

The end of the year brings new beginnings. At least, this is the case for the band EYEDROPS, which will release “Ultima Comandă” on Thursday, December 21, the first single from the work-in-progress album that will be launched next year. The last concert, the last order, the last single of a year full of steps forward, as it began for the artists in 2023. The launch concert will take place at Expirat Halele Carol club in Bucharest.

“Pragmatic dreamers, pacifist punks, nervous hippies, melancholic progressives, noisy introverts,” is how the members of EYEDROPS describe themselves. Their concerts have been paradoxically described as energizing and generators of a strong sense of melancholy, and the boys’ discourse is characterized by surprising and simple sincerity. The themes addressed in EYEDROPS’ songs are primarily social and spiritual in nature, with a strong emphasis on overcoming fear in all its forms.

Their latest album, released in April this year, “Găsit, rătăcit, regăsit, pierdut,” told the story of the last two years from the artists’ perspective. It’s a wandering journey through kitchens, courtyards, cars, stops, and hotel rooms. Lifting their heads and looking ahead, EYEDROPS embark on a completely new path, gathering feelings of well-being, guitars, and vibrations. The first step? To shout “Ultima Comandă.”

‘Ultima Comandă’ is actually the first ‘gesture’ from the album we’re working on, and we will launch it next fall. It’s a song about the times we live in and how we feel about them. I wouldn’t say more. About the concert, we know it will be in an extended lineup, with a sound larger than usual, and on stage, the boys will be joined by two Andus. Yes – two guests with the same name, each on a different instrument, says Paul Manolescu, EYEDROPS’ lead vocalist.

Tickets for the concert are available through iaBilet.ro.
