Eyedrops and Pinholes, alternative rock bands, embark on a tour organized by BandBook that includes nine cities across the country and Moldova, starting on February 8th from Timișoara, aiming to turn other eight important geographical points into a party, one by one.

What was supposed to be just a fun two or three concerts quickly turned into a full-fledged tour. Eyedrops and Pinholes, two landmark bands for the current alternative rock scene in the country, set off on February 8th on a journey with multiple stops, the first being at the M2 – event venue club in Timișoara.

Eyeholes and Pindrops, Holedrops and Eyepins, or Pinholes and Eyedrops: two bands in search of a better world, of truth (no matter how subjective it may be), and a drop of optimism. Two entities that join forces and weaknesses in an initiatory walk through the corners of the country. If Pinholes are attracted to metaphors and openly dramatic, Eyedrops force a smile and exude dreamy pragmatism. Together, bathed in the general state of confusion that defines an entire generation, they will seek the most suitable questions for the answers already delivered by others. So, put on whatever clothes you have at hand, and let’s crumple them together!

Eyedrops describe themselves as pragmatic dreamers, pacifist punks, nervous hippies, progressive melancholics, noisy introverts. Their concerts have been paradoxically described as energizing and generating a strong feeling of melancholy, and the boys’ discourse is characterized by surprising sincerity.

Pinholes is an alternative rock group formed in Iași in 2011, gathered under the same obsession for their Moldovan roots and Eastern European aesthetics. They have traveled the country far and wide for over 10 years, reaching its edge in search of optimism and failing. Attracted to metaphors and openly dramatic, Pinholes seek to find the middle ground between alternative rock, post-rock, post-punk, and Alexandru Andrieș, Marin Sorescu, and Negură Bunget. Somewhere in the band’s discography, all these circles meet.
