WTF – Way Too Far Rock Festival has announced the first headliner of this edition! It’s one of the legendary bands worldwide, MR. BIG! The announcement is all the more spectacular as the band is on their grand farewell tour, and Bistrița is the final destination for MR. BIG, according to the schedule recently announced on their official website and social media pages.

Known for their unmistakable hits and exceptional musical virtuosity, MR. BIG is a true pillar of the rock scene. With songs like “To Be with You,” “Wild World,” and “Just Take My Heart,” these music titans promise to deliver an incredible show that will evoke nostalgia among dedicated fans and capture new hearts.

Formed in the 1980s, the band has carved out a place in music history with their unmistakable sound, blending elements of hard rock, heavy metal, and emotionally charged ballads. Band members – Eric Martin, Paul Gilbert, Billy Sheehan, and Pat Torpey (later replaced by Matt Starr) – are known for their remarkable musical skills and the boundless energy they bring to every performance.

MR. BIG embarked on their final world tour in 2023, entitled “The BIG Finish,” precisely because the band’s drummer and co-founder, Pat Torpey, lost his battle with Parkinson’s disease in 2018. Thus, the band felt it was time to mark the end of this chapter of their legacy.

Paul Gilbert ranks among the top 10 guitarists in the world, while Billy Sheehan has been voted best bassist five times!
