It’s the 1st of March, and that means Women’s Month is officially here.

Women have been instrumental in shaping the cultural landscape, breaking barriers, and inspiring generations with their creativity and resilience. As we celebrate Women’s Month, let’s take a moment to reflect on the countless achievements and sacrifices made by women throughout history in order to pursue their careers. Unfortunately, some people only recognize women’s efforts in music during this month.

Since the beginning of Rock Monsters back in 2016, the publication has grown with the help of nearly 30 women who contributed directly with articles, posts, tasks, and social media management, as well as the amazing women we met on and off the stage. To the women reading this, a big thank you!

This year, an old idea that first appeared on our list back in 2021 will finally take shape, and we are glad to do this. Until the 8th of March, we will feature 8 women who have been an inspiration to us as individuals, as journalists, and for our publication. It was a difficult decision for us to choose only eight, and we would like to emphasize that the series will continue in the upcoming months, highlighting more women who have changed our perspective.

From iconic singers to behind-the-scenes professionals, each woman has played a vital role in enriching the vibrant variety of Romanian music. By sharing their experiences and celebrating their achievements, we hope to inspire future generations of women to pursue their passions fearlessly and pave their paths in the industry.

But this isn’t the only thing we’re doing this month. Throughout March, we will also be resharing the best interviews, photos, and articles about women who have played important roles in the Romanian music industry through their songs, presence, and actions.

So, before we post the first interview, we have to ask: Who is your role model in the Romanian music industry?
