Romania’s CLARO QUE NO have announced the release of their latest single “Parasite”, available now on all streaming platforms.

Claro Que No are a new alt-rock combo from Bucharest, Romania that gatecrashed into the scene earlier this year with the release of their debut single, “Lose Control”, attracting notorious momentum to their particular brand of dance rock influenced by the likes of Queens of The Stone Age or Royal Blood.

“Parasite” doesn’t just follow in its footsteps but raises the bar with a gritty, horror movie-style music video filmed at the ominous House of the Free Press (a 1950s Stalinist-influenced behemoth situated in the Romanian capital’s northern entrance), which tells a dark, yet triumphant story of overcoming the trauma of emotional and narcissistic relationship abuse.

The song’s hard-hitting lyrics tear through a thick fabric of powerful, pulsating grooves and edge-of-the-knife riffage that do not so much caress the senses as they treat the listener to an absolute beating of the eardrums, leaving a pile of dust in its wake and a smile on their face. The instrumentation also takes a step up from their previous release to incorporate haunting keyboards and percussive acoustic guitars that enhance the track’s stomping heaviness, rounded off by a soulful, multi-layered vocal approach that borrows cues from acts as far apart as Prince or Muse.

“Parasite” is now available on all streaming platforms. Produced by the band itself, the song was mixed by Adrian “Bila” Uritescu at Lowbass5 Studio in Romania and mastered by Graeme Lynch at Two Zero Nine in Liverpool, England. The single’s accompanying music video was filmed and edited by George-Andrei Ilie.

Claro Que No is formed by Dany Serrano (vocals, guitars), Andrey Baydin (lead guitar) and Andrei Ilie (drums).
