Amalia Gaiță is a singer and composer who has made a mark on the soul-rock scene with an eclectic approach adorned with influences from funk and jazz.
Together with her band consisting of Mihai Moldoveanu (bass), Vlad Cotruș (guitar), and Adrian Șchiopu (drums), Amalia has released three albums: “Melting Sun” in 2017 and “The Grey EP” and “Mimosa” in 2023.
After attending one of her concerts, Beth Hart described her music as “incredibly soulful.” The band has performed on rock, blues, alternative, and even jazz stages. Their sound is a blend between Skunk Anansie and Sade! Their live experience is bold and expressive.

“Mimosa,” the latest album by the artist, is a fusion of organic and electric, old and new. Felt as a distinctive stylistic approach, “Mimosa” stands out with its electronic dimensions and surprising dynamics, blending with the band’s characteristic eclectic attitude. Mimosa’s music, like the tree under which it was written, carries a sensitivity to touch – it opens and closes, hides and electrically discharges.
Amalia is also a visual artist, with the cover of her debut album being an image from her photo project “A bird’s year.”
