German band H-Blockx, Serbian band S.A.R.S., and British band The Toy Dolls are the first acts announced for the third edition of the ASTRA Rock festival, set to take place between August 16th and 18th, 2024, in the marvelous space of the ASTRA Open Air Museum in Sibiu.

H-Blockx are considered pioneers of European crossover, blending elements of alternative rock, nu-metal, and rap. The Germans struck gold with their debut album, “Time to Move” (1994), selling over 750,000 copies, earning a Gold Disc, and being nominated for the MTV Europe Music Awards’ Best Debut.

Hits like “Rising High,” “Move,” and “Little Girl” received heavy radio and TV rotation, becoming anthems for millions of fans. This year, H-Blockx embark on a tour celebrating 30 years since the album that made them famous worldwide, and their show at ASTRA Rock promises to be full of energy!

S.A.R.S. formed in Belgrade in 2006 and have dominated charts across the former Yugoslav region with their debut album’s track “Buđav lebac,” released in 2009.

The success of the song was surpassed in the following years by another hit, “Perspektiva,” which garnered tens of millions of views on YouTube and conquered the entire continent. Their original style, mixing Serbian ethno with pop, rock, reggae, blues, jazz, and hip-hop, makes S.A.R.S.’ performance at ASTRA Rock an eclectic experience not to be missed!

The Toy Dolls are leading representatives of the British punk rock scene, celebrating 45 years since their formation.

Champions of a relaxed style combining punk energy with virtuosity and parody, The Toy Dolls have released 13 studio albums and countless hits, including covers of “The Final Countdown” and “Livin’ La Vida Loca.” Formidable live performers, the trio offers a total show, and they’re sure to ignite the atmosphere in Sibiu!

In addition to H-Blockx, S.A.R.S., and The Toy Dolls, the lineup for ASTRA Rock 2024 will feature other internationally renowned acts, as well as Romanian bands spanning various musical genres, to be announced in the near future.

Following the increasing success of the first two editions, ASTRA Rock 2024 returns to Sibiu not only with a rich offer for fans of good music but also with gastronomic, literary, craft, and educational surprises in the open air, dedicated to the whole family. All of this is complemented by a generous camping area.
