Wacken Metal Battle 2024 will take place in Bucharest, at Club Quantic, on May 10th and 11th, 2024. The event will bring together some of the most promising metal bands in the country, competing for the title of champion and a spot at the famous festival in Germany.
The finalists who will enter the battle for supremacy are:
- Doomsday Astronaut – progressive metal (Sibiu)
- Fittonia – alternative metal (Cluj-Napoca)
- June Turns Black – metalcore (Bucharest)
- Reverse the Moment – metalcore (Oradea)
- Warhymn – black metal (Bucharest)
The jury for the final stage is composed of recognized personalities in the music industry, such as:
- Lenți Chiriac (Radio Romania)
- Doru Ionescu (TVR&ROCK FM)
- Bogdan Trîmbaciu (Posada Rock Festival)
- Mihai Răzvan Mungescu (Constelații Rock)
- Michael Ahlin (Lost Domain)
In addition to the intense competition, the event’s lineup will be complemented by performances from specially invited bands:
- Lost Domain (progressive metal – Sweden)
- Zarraza (thrash metal – Kazakhstan)
- Katara (melodic death metal – Romania)
- Aneuma (melodic death metal – Spain)
- Agathodaimon (black metal – Germany)
The jury for the pre-selection stage was composed of:
- Thorsteinn Kolbeinsson (Iceland – Wacken promoter)
- Michael Ahlin (Sweden – Lost Domain guitarist)
- Larry Runner (Spain – TNT Radio Rock journalist)
- Bogdan Feldman (Wacken Metal Battle Romania)
