The instrumental progressive metal band Doomsday Astronaut, freshly crowned winner of the Wacken Metal Battle competition which sends a band directly to the prestigious Wacken Open Air festival stage in Germany, will hold an explosive concert in front of fans on May 17th at Hardward Pub in Cluj-Napoca.

The concert is part of the Spring Tour 2024 embarked upon by the Sibiu-based band in March of this year, which, up to this point, has proven to be a real success, with a series of live performances that have enjoyed a very good attendance among fans of niche sounds.
In this regard, it is expected that the concert on May 17th at Hardward Pub will be one that will take place with a full house. Two other more than interesting bands, Left Hand Path and Crumble, will also take the stage at this event.
Moreover, Doomsday Astronaut had a remarkable performance at the Soundart Festival, an event that featured the presence of two of the biggest bands in the international metal scene, Dodheimsgard and Hexvessel.
Doomsday Astronaut is one of the most promising bands in the Romanian rock-metal sphere, a formation that has experienced a meteoric rise, difficult to match by any other project of its kind in the country, at least in recent times.
The album “Djent Djinn,” the latest material released by the Sibiu band, received an enthusiastic reception from both the specialized press in the country and abroad. With a unique sound and production worked down to the smallest detail, “Djent Djinn” is yet another proof that the boys’ journey to the top of the metal scene is, as they say, paved with good intentions.
The founder and mastermind of the band, Waqas Ahmed, stated about this new material at the time of its release that “it is the heaviest yet, but, at the same time, the most fantastical and adventurous musical product released so far.“
During the event in Cluj-Napoca on May 17th, several tracks from this material will be presented to the public in a show as virtuosic as it is filled with pure energy.
The Spring Tour 2024 will conclude on May 25th in Petroșani, at The Station, in an unmissable concert where Evergreed will also take the stage.
Tickets: 50 RON, available only at the entrance on the evening of the concert.
