Sergiu Frățilă, known for his contributions as a member of the band Plant and the project Cava Doro, released his debut solo EP titled “Piese de schimb”. This material represents a sincere exploration of his previously unexplored musical influences.
“‘Piese de schimb’ EP is my first solo endeavor,” declares Sergiu Frățilă. “All four songs were written exclusively while embracing the guitar I gifted myself after releasing the ‘Electrocasnic’ album. I aimed to highlight various musical influences without confining the material to a specific genre. The songs draw inspiration from images and events from recent years, whether more or less joyful. Ultimately, it all revolves around changes.”
The EP features four songs that reflect a wide range of emotions and personal experiences. Sergiu Frățilă recorded and mixed the entire material at home and at his grandparents’ house in Puiești from January to May 2024. Mastering was done by Vladimir Ivanov from Pinholes and the album cover was created by Daniel Boiangiu from D.E.N.I.S. and Cava Doro.
Additionally, Sergiu Frățilă is preparing other musical surprises for this autumn, alongside PLANT.
