Berlin Division, the newest and most promising electro/synth-pop project from Timișoara, has released a new single with a unique story and captivating creative concept, called “All Right”.

The song revolves around a story that oscillates between deeply internal emotions, a struggle with a happy ending about a contrary fate rooted in a tumultuous past but one that can be corrected by the will to move forward and overcome any obstacle.

The artist Cristian Paroș, the creator of the Timișoara project, reveals about this: “The song’s message refers to the connections between a past that still affects us and the present. But also to the fact that, most of the time, it is much better to break those two apart so we can heal completely. Even if it is very difficult most of the time.”

Beyond its message, the composition explores sound spheres and innovative creative techniques that propose a complex soundscape to the audience, yet easily assimilated due to the warm tone that defines the song.

About the creative process behind this new single, Cristi declared: “I can say that I really enjoyed the creative process because I did some production things that I don’t usually do.

An example would be that instead of using hi-hats, I used a nature-recorded sample over which I applied a gate, and the result was much more dynamic in my view – hence the bird chirping in the background.”

“All Right” thus presents itself, above all, as a small world with its own rules and principles, of course, derived from a universe of oppressive states and moments of creative inspiration, which transforms the composition into a standalone work.

Appearing in 2023 in Timișoara, Berlin Division is an electronic music project that combines elements of synth-pop and darkwave with modern techno rhythms. Consisting of Cristian Paroș (synths, electronics, and vocals) and Alfred Paroș (live sessions), the band proposes music with a vast range of inspiration that seeks to envelop the sensitive, slightly melancholic message in rhythmic and melodic nuances.

Insertions that venture into space ambient and EDM offer the compositions a special dimension, which further amplifies this feeling of journey through sound. A complex sound that takes you through creative universes reminiscent of Jean Michel Jarre, Erasure, or Eurythmics, New Order, or Mouse on Mars and Booka Shade.
