The 13th edition of Summer Well will take place from August 9-11 at the iconic Știrbey Vodă Domain in Buftea. The event promises to captivate us again this year with a carefully curated lineup of artists, unique stages, and various relaxation, entertainment, and food zones designed to enhance our well-being over the three days.

The festival will feature five stages where we’ll create summer memories, each with its own distinct vibe. The Orange Main Stage will host big names like Keane, Nothing But Thieves, Royal Blood, and Two Door Cinema Club. Meanwhile, the Sunset Stage by ING x Visa will offer a balance with emerging Romanian artists – +SHE+, Paulina, Rareș – and internationally recognized alternative musicians like Tommy Cash and Lucky Love.

A surprise this year is the addition of two new stages, specifically designed to give the audience an authentic Summer Well experience. The Hollow Idols Stage pushes the boundaries of a festival by introducing a cutting-edge blend of technology and music. With a unique concept, this stage will feature virtual DJs debuting at Summer Well, marking a revolutionary moment in the festival’s evolution. This innovative project was developed in collaboration with the animation studio Wave Studio VFX.

The Electro Punk Club Stage is the newest addition to Summer Well, embodying the punk ethos of the festival. This stage combines rebellion and the unconventional with electronic music, reflecting our passion for innovation. The stage will be set up as a club, with impressive neon facades and stunning visuals designed by the renowned collective Space Objekt. The design is inspired by the punk scene in Los Angeles in the 1970s, particularly iconic locations in Chinatown like Madam Wong’s and Hong Kong Cafe.

After the live concerts end, the whole festival will turn into an after-party until dawn, with Victoria, Dwells, and The Brothers Macklovitch ensuring an electrifying atmosphere.

Access Information

Festival access will be from Oltului Street, starting at 4:00 PM on Friday and 12:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday. Arrive early to avoid crowds, especially on Friday. Entry to the festival will be allowed until 11:00 PM each day.

Accreditation will be available daily from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. After 8:00 PM, no accreditations (press, partners, guestlist) will be issued. The festival will be partially open until 5:00 AM each day.

Handy Information

The Summer Well app, available on both the App Store and Google Play, contains all the necessary information during the festival: daily schedules, maps, food & drinks lists, entertainment options, and even your access tickets purchased from summerwell.ro. We recommend enabling “push notifications” to stay updated on the latest festival news.

Four Ways to Get to the Festival

The Știrbey Vodă Domain is quite accessible, with several transportation options:

1. Bus: Tickets can be purchased directly from summerwell.ro or at the bus entrance for 25 lei per trip. Buses will depart from Bucharest, Clăbucet Station (near Piața Chibrit). The first bus will leave at 3:30 PM on Friday and 11:30 AM on Saturday and Sunday. Buses will run every 15-40 minutes.
2. Train: Another recommended option is taking the train from Gara de Nord to Buftea. From Buftea station, it’s a 20-minute walk to the festival. Note that there are no return trains to Bucharest after the concerts.
3. Bicycle: If you prefer cycling, a dedicated parking area will be available at the festival entrance.
4. Personal Car: There is no dedicated parking for the public, so it’s recommended to leave your car at home to avoid congestion. Check alternative routes: Chitila – Buftea, Corbeanca – Buftea.

First Aid Points

First aid stations will be available at various points around the festival, marked on the Summer Well mobile app map.

Ticket Information

Make sure you have your ticket ready, either in electronic or physical format. It’s important that each participant has their own ticket (e.g., not on a companion’s phone).

Festival Wristbands

This week before the festival, holders of regular and VIP passes can collect their festival wristbands from Orange Shop Victoriei, Orange Shop Băneasa Shopping City, and Orange Shop Orhideea. You can do this until Thursday between 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM or Friday between 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM. To speed up the process, it’s recommended to have your ticket downloaded on your phone.

• IMPORTANT! Minors must carry a copy of their birth certificate or any other ID. Minors over 12 years old must also have a signed and completed commitment declaration from their parent or legal guardian.
• Festival wristbands cannot be removed during the event; if they are, access to the festival will be restricted.
• Must-haves: ID, commitment declaration (for minors over 12), valid ticket.
• All participants are subject to a search upon entry, with no exceptions. Refusing a body search will result in being denied entry to the festival.
• Lastly, check the list of prohibited items. Summer Well promotes responsible fun, so the consumption of psychotropic substances (drugs) is strictly prohibited.

More than a music festival, Summer Well is an entire experience that will take place from August 9-11, 2024, in a unique location that has been our home since the beginning, Știrbey Domain in Buftea. In 2024, Summer Well will celebrate its 13th anniversary.
