DWMT La Conac, the only arts and music festival in southern Romania, organized by Diud in collaboration with Point, returns in September for its second edition with a line-up full of well-known artists, but also names for the future.
One of the established names is Dimitri’s Bats, an alternative band that will make you dance, laugh, and cry, all in one concert.

Dimitri’s Bats has truly taken off in the last couple of years. Firstly with the release of “Get Your Fix” in August 2022, and a pajama concert (yes, you read that right!) in September 2022 that went viral on social media.
And if 2022 seemed good, 2023 was even better. They played at the Mastering the Music Business conference in September, where I had the opportunity to see them live for the first time. More importantly, they released their EP “Monobloc” and had concerts both in and outside Romania, at showcase festivals in Estonia, Poland, and Hungary.
2024 was another standout year for them, featuring an incredible concert in March, followed by performances across the country, and a new release at Expirat alongside Armand Popa. They also delivered an exceptional set at the Transilvania International Film Festival.
Their next stop is at DWMT La Conac, so we took the opportunity to ask them about the surprises they’re preparing…
This is your first time performing at DWMT La Conac. What are your expectations from the event as a whole?
We’re looking forward to getting up on that stage, playing loud, having fun, dancing and getting to know y’all. Also meeting up with friends from other bands/projects and hopefully making new ones as well.
In 2024 you released two amazing singles and played numerous concerts. If you could summarize this year in a single word, what would it be and why?
Epic. We really do feel lucky to take part in all these awesome experiences. We’re always trying to have as much fun as possible on stage as well as off stage, and getting to do it together as friends is the real treat. Things may change now and then, but we really do think of everyone that was ever involved in the project as our epic adventure family.
Up to this point, your longest release is “Monobloc”, an 18 minute long EP. Should we expect an album coming out in the near future?
Yes, but not in the traditional way. Our previous three singles (Take It All, How Much It Hurts and WYGD) are part of a full-length album we are working towards, as a waterfall release. It will all make sense in the end, like puzzle pieces coming together.
What type of show should your audience expect at DWMT La Conac: acoustic, electric or a mix of the two?
As electric as we can make it. Electrifying!
What are some names from this year’s DWMT La Conac lineup you think our readers should keep an eye on? Can you explain what you like about said artists?
You should check out Paul Tihan & Andra Andriucă. They are both awesome musicians and great people who will be living in your playlists rent free from now on.
