“Shelter” sees the Bucharest alt-rock combo experimenting with electronic elements for the first time , creating a brooding atmosphere of colourful soundscapes with the help of up-and-coming producer and musician Armand Popa, who also performs synths in the song. It tells a story of longing against a backdrop of minimal dance and R&B vibes, peppered with touches of shoegaze, which eventually crescendo into a grand finale.

It shows a markedly different side to the band’s output to date, taking a leap into fresh territory while retaining certain sonic elements that will be familiar to their listeners.

Claro Que No launched into the scene with the release of their first two singles earlier this year, “Lose Control” and “Parasite”, attracting the attention of media and music fans alike with their own brand of dance rock, influenced by the likes of Queens of The Stone Age, Muse or Royal Blood.

“Shelter” opens with a powerful bass groove over minimal beats and delicate, atmospheric guitars that serve as the cushion for an intimate vocal line, which develops in playfulness throughout the song, growing in intensity along with the rest of the instrumentation, showing a more nuanced approach to the band’s songwriting and arrangement abilities.

“Shelter” is now available on all streaming platforms. It is produced by Armand Popa, mixed by Adrian “Bila” Uritescu at Lowbass5 Studio in Romania and mastered by Graeme Lynch at Two Zero Nine in Liverpool, England. The single’s accompanying music video was filmed and edited by George-Andrei Ilie.

Claro Que No are Dany Serrano (vocals, guitars), Andrey Baydin (lead guitar) and Andrei Ilie (drums).

Featuring members of established Romanian acts including byron, Emaa and Valeria Stoica, Claro Que No continue to work on new music to be released later this year, while preparing behind the scenes for soon-to-be-announced live shows.
