Heartbreak Cinema and Syfo Dias, two fresh and electrifying presences on the local scene, will perform at Quantic on Wednesday, November 23rd.

October is the month that challenges us to think differently, to gather courage, and face our fears. We can do this even more effectively with the right push. The Heartbreak Cinema and Syfo Dias concert on October 23rd at Quantic will be exactly the boost we need. These two talented bands, full of attitude and energy, will fill the club with ingenious sounds, heavy riffs, and bold lyrics.

Heartbreak Cinema is an electronic rock band, blending a variety of styles and influences from Alternative, Metal, and EDM. Comprising vocalist Maria Teodora and composer/producer Radu Bădilaș, the result is rebellious, commanding, filled with narrative and cinematic aspects.

The project began in 2018 in Radu’s bedroom, with the first compilation of Heartbreak Cinema productions titled “A Collection of Clouds”, distributed among his friends on November 25, 2018. It included four tracks, three of which were remastered and officially released under the name “Test Footage” EP,along with a remix of the single “Winter Sun.”

After a few more singles and collaborations, the project evolved into a band when Radu realized his music wasn’t fitting for a live concert setting. He decided to join forces with Maria to reinvent the project, with the two writing and developing a completely new version of Heartbreak Cinema, infused with strong rock elements.

All Heartbreak Cinema tracks are still written and produced entirely in Radu’s bedroom studio. Now in full form, the band is ready to take the stage in front of a wider audience.

Syfo Dias debuted in 2023 through a happy accident in London. Upon returning home, the group began laying the foundation for a completely new and meticulously thought-out project to take root on the local scene in Bucharest. Their music combines many elements, influences, and different energies, bundling them into a single package that marks a step towards a new musical style, without limits and full of intensity.

This year, the band released their debut album, “In Tension,” a dynamic, dark work with piercing energy that takes you from the heights of happiness to the depths of sorrow. However, it strikes a perfect balance between the weight of the spoken-word parts and the relief brought by the sensitive notes of the harmonies.

Additionally, Syfo Dias has participated in the “Femei pe Mătăsari” and *”Bărbați pe Mătăsari”* festivals and has performed in clubs such as Fabrica, The Pub, and Control. Determined to perform on larger and more important stages, they are constantly working on the quality of their music and shows. Each concert is unique and more spectacular than the last, both in terms of sound design and the attitude they bring to the stage.
