The Charity Event Munteanu Fest raised 8,000 Lei for Grivița 53 – the First Theater Built from Scratch by the Community
Approximately 200 people attended a charity marathon event on October 15 at Expirat Halele Carol in Bucharest, which lasted over 6 hours. 5 artists from Romania’s music scene participated pro bono at Munteanu Fest 8: Ana Coman, D-L Goe, Prima Dragoste, Andra Andriucă, and Marinov.

The sum of 8,000 lei was raised from the revenue and donations obtained from this edition, both through tickets purchased online via iabilet.ro and at the entrance on the evening of the event. This entire amount will be donated to the Grivița 53 Cultural Association. Additionally, many supporters donated directly on the project’s website during the festival: http://www.grivita53.ro.
“The 8th edition of Munteanu Fest was about beautiful and generous people. I would like to take this opportunity to mention the great people, friends, and acquaintances in front of the stage who participated and supported the cause, the artists who took turns performing on stage or at the DJ booth and delighted our ears and hearts, the team from Expirat Halele Carol who impeccably hosted the festival, and especially Chris Simion-Mercurian and Tiberiu Mercurian from Grivița 53, who are eager to build this theater. I can wholeheartedly say it was an exemplary mobilization from everyone. I am happy that such a large sum of money was raised from the charity event. I would also like to thank the partners and friends from iaBilet who helped me a lot with promotion, providing the ticketing system at no additional cost, as well as all the media partners and supporters who intensely promoted the event over the past few weeks. It was impressive for me to see such solidarity from the people around to support a cause,” said Bogdan Munteanu, the event organizer.

All participants who purchased a ticket for the event enjoyed access to the musical marathon, while automatically donating the equivalent of the ticket price to the Grivița 53 Cultural Association.
The charity festival was organized by Munteanu Events and covered by RFI Romania.
