The Groovy Bastards kick off 2025 with the release of the music video for their song “23:22.” The track, always a special moment in their concerts, is cherished by fans for the mini-sketch that has become a well-known symbol of the band.

The video manages to capture the essence of the song, appealing to both new listeners and long-time followers.

The Groovy Bastards is a band that emerged on the Bucharest music scene, bringing infectious energy and an eclectic mix of musical styles to the forefront. Their unique sound blends elements of funk, rock, progressive, jazz, R&B, and hip-hop.

Their signature lies in their exceptional live performances, the vibrant personalities of the members, and the “fresh” style reflected in their original compositions.

“It’s not rock, it’s not groove, it’s not funk; it’s all of these and whatever we want it to be.”

The band’s achievements include winning awards at the Jazz Festivals in Sibiu and Târgu Mureș, notable appearances at the Ruse Jazz Festival in Bulgaria, and performing in numerous venues across the country. They have also shared the stage with world-class artists such as Marco Mendoza, Bumblefoot, and Rosenberg Trio.

In 2017, they were awarded the title of “Revelation of the Year” at the Muzza Festival, and in 2019, they were nominated for “Band of the Year” at the same festival. In 2023, they won second place at the prestigious Posada Rock Festival in Câmpulung Muscel, and in 2024, they claimed first prize at the Constelații Rock competition in Râmnicu Vâlcea.
