After the sold-out tour “Impostor Syndrome in 4 Acts”, which marked 18 years of their career, byron releases a new single – “Totul e sub control” (“Everything’s Under Control”) – a song about the absurd world we live in, one that never gives you a break, where everything ricochets, rushes by, and where we try to stay present, even while battling anxiety and the pressure to always appear “OK.” The song will be part of the band’s upcoming studio album and comes with a lyric video.

“Totul e sub control captures the mental chaos we try to hide under a mask of ‘I’m fine, everything’s OK’,” says lead singer Dan Byron.
The song is available on all streaming platforms, and the video can be watched on the band’s official YouTube channel:
“The video is a clear reference to the now-classic ‘This is fine’ meme. When everything around you becomes too much, you start thinking it’s normal. Our psyche sees the fire all around, but we try to comfort ourselves with the illusion that everything is under control,” says bassist Laszlo Demeter, who also created the video.
On April 12 at 6 PM, byron will celebrate Record Store Day with a special event at Cărturești Carusel in Bucharest. The occasion marks the launch of the #byroniiascultă shelf, where band members recommend vinyl records by artists they admire. Entry is free.
Fans can catch byron live in concert:
- May 21 – Club Control, Bucharest
- May 31 – Brașov
- June 22 – Rocanotherworld, Iași
- August 31 – Focus Festival, Sibiu
