Timișoara-based band MONOKROM returns home for a special live performance on May 24 at D’arc Timișoara, one of the city’s most iconic venues for the alternative scene.

The event offers fans the chance to experience the band’s raw and intense live sound, one that has solidified MONOKROM’s reputation as one of the most relevant alt punk bands in Romania.
Following a series of shows in Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca, MONOKROM comes back to the city where it all began nearly a decade ago. With a unique style marked by lyrical honesty, punk rock influences, and undeniable energy, the band will perform songs from both of their albums: Sirene de ambulanță and MANTRE.
The public is invited to join on Zaturday, May 24, starting at 7:00 PM, for an evening of intense music, raw emotion, and choruses that stay with you. The event is organized in partnership with Muzicon.

About the Albums
Sirene de ambulanță (2020) – The debut album, a sonic journal of urban anxiety and tension. Its existential themes unfold through a mix of punk and lucid melancholy, with choruses that don’t shy away from going deep.
MANTRE (2023) – A conceptual work, structured like a three-act tragedy. From summer ecstasy to suburban depression, MONOKROM weaves a cohesive, visceral, and mature musical universe.
About MONOKROM
Formed in 2016, the members of MONOKROM quickly made a name for themselves in Romania’s alternative scene through electrifying performances and lyrics that delve into existential themes, urban anxieties, and glimpses of light in daily chaos.
In 2024, the band was awarded Best Rock Band at the Timișoara Music Awards, and they are currently working on a new release that promises to solidify their alt punk identity.
With a raw lyrical style and an aesthetic best described as “alt punk for the people,” the band has played on stages across the country and has been featured on Radio Guerrilla, Radio România, and Radio Timișoara. Their hit single “Vara fără sfârșit” topped the Top Show chart for several weeks in the summer of 2023.
